Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES)

Graduates of the MPH program are eligible to sit for the CHES exam because of the health education concentration acquired through many required MPH classes. The CHES credential designates those who have met the standards of responsibilities and competence that guide the health education profession. Becoming a certified health professional enhances credentials, adds credibility to the public health profession, and sets a standard of knowledge, professional development and skills in public health.

Certified Public Health

Students of the BYU MPH program are required to sit for the CPH exam. The CPH credential indicates that graduates have the requisite skills in the core public health competencies. Becoming a certified health professional enhances credentials, adds credibility to the public health profession, and sets a standard of knowledge, professional development and skills in public health.
